Our mission is to create a platform that fosters meaningful connections among solo travelers while ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all. By participating in our community, you agree to adhere to these Guidelines, which are part of our Terms of Service. Nomadtable Inc. is committed to creating a positive and safe space for all members. We continuously evaluate and improve our safety measures to uphold these standards.We take safety seriously. If we find out you’ve violated Community Guidelines, we may remove violating content, warn you, suspend your account, or permanently ban you from Nomadtable’s App and services, depending on the severity of the conduct and previous violations.Community Norms- Not a Dating App: Nomadtable is an app to make friends while traveling, not a dating app. Do not use Nomadtable to message people with romantic intentions. Doing so will result in a permanent ban.- Respectful Communication: Treat all members with kindness and respect. Harassment, bullying, intimidation, and threats are strictly prohibited.- No Hate Speech: We do not tolerate hate speech or dehumanizing content based on race, gender, orientation, religion, disability, or any other characteristic. This includes derogatory language or actions that create a hostile environment.- Authenticity: Be genuine and authentic. Creating fake profiles, impersonating others, or using deceptive personas is not allowed. So is misrepresenting your age, location, or other personal details to other users.- Appropriate Content: Do not share explicit, vulgar, or sexually provocative content. Sharing unsolicited explicit images or messages is strictly forbidden.Prohibited Content and ConductCertain content and activities are prohibited across Nomadtable, whether on the App or during in-person Nomadtable Activities (real-world gatherings organized through the app).- Violence and Misconduct: Acts of violence, threats, stalking, or any form of physical or sexual misconduct are strictly prohibited.
- Sexual Content and Conduct: Do not share explicit, vulgar, or sexually provocative content. Sharing unsolicited explicit images or messages is strictly forbidden. Actiities should not include any sex work or pornography, or its promotion.
- Minors: Regardless of local law, individuals under 18 years of age are not allowed on Nomadtable’s App or at our Activities. You may also not use our App or Activities to share photographs of or information about any individual under 18, or to set up contact with any individual under 18 at a later time.
- Illegal Content and Activities: Engaging in illegal activities, including the sale or distribution of drugs, is forbidden.
- Fraud and Scams: Deceptive or fraudulent activities are not allowed. This includes any requests for donations or other financial support, lying about your intentions for financial gain, or other attempts to deceive members out of financial or material resources.
- Promotional or Commercial Content: Nomadtable is not a marketplace. Please do not share unsolicited commercial or promotional content on the App or at Activities.
- Spam and Unsolicited Content: Do not post bulk messages, misleading links, or disruptive content.
- Off-Purpose or Mass Unsolicited Messaging: Nomadtable is designed for shared travel activities. You may not use the app primarily to message individuals without genuine intention to plan or join activities. Repeated low-effort, irrelevant, or generic outreach (e.g., mass “hi/hey” messages sent without meaningful context) is prohibited. Accounts demonstrating spam-like messaging behavior may be restricted or permanently banned.
- Harmful Content: Sharing content that promotes self-harm, violence, or illegal activities is strictly prohibited. This includes descriptions or depictions of violence, photos containing real or realistic-appearing blood, bodily fluids, or injury, or images depicting guns of any kind.
- Platform Manipulation: No using technology to scrape content, engage with other users or the App, or circumvent account bans or other restrictions. This includes using bots, VPNs or any other tools.Profiles
- If you submit a profile photo, that photo must not be of a person other than yourself.- You need to be at least 18 years old to join Nomadtable.- Don’t include sensitive information such as financial information, phone numbers, addresses, or email addresses in your bio.- The name on your profile must reflect your real name or your real nickname, not a name of a person other than yourselfChats
- Protect your privacy. Do not share or request personal information such as phone numbers, addresses, or email addresses publicly.- Avoid posting detailed travel plans, locations where you’re staying, or arrival times.- Be thoughtful about payments and financial information. Nomadtable will never ask for your financial account information.- Keep discussions and Activity planning with other Nomadtable users to chats in our App rather than other channels.Nomadtable Activities (meetups organized through app)
- Activities are intended for Nomadtable users only. No one under 18 should be involved in an Activity.- Activities must abide by local laws, including restrictions on use of alcohol and other controlled substances and public disruption. If you’re not certain whether an activity is permitted, don’t do it.- Meet in public spaces, inform friends or family of your plans, and trust your instincts.- Creators must provide accurate and timely details for the activity (e.g., time, location, participant limits). Participants must review Activity details carefully before participating.- Activity creators and participants should notify others promptly if they need to cancel. Repeated last-minute cancellations or no-shows may result in account suspension.- Participants are responsible for managing and splitting their own bills during Activities. Nomadtable Inc. does not facilitate payment arrangements.- Users should verify details independently before acting on AI suggestions. Activities or venues suggested by our AI are generated based on available data but may not always be accurate, feasible, or appropriate.- Nomadtable Inc. is not responsible for user conduct or outcomes of in-person Activities. Users participate at their own discretion and risk.Blocking and ReportingIf there’s an emergency in progress, please contact local emergency services or law enforcement authorities for assistance.
If you feel uncomfortable with another user’s behavior, you can block them directly from their profile or conversation. Once blocked, the user will no longer be able to contact you or view your profile.
Blocking a user does not automatically report their behavior. If the user violates our guidelines, please report them through the app for further review.
If you see any content or conduct on the Nomadtable App or during an Activity, report it right away.
Misuse of the blocking feature to harass or inconvenience others (e.g., repeatedly blocking and unblocking the same person) is a violation of these guidelines and may result in account suspension or termination.
